The reserve, which corresponds to the Quebrada Mimitimbi, is located in the central area of Isla Colon, diagonal to the road to Boca del Drago, via Colonia Santeņa. It was created to protect the supply of fresh water from the underground of the island. The approximate size of the reserve is 160 hectares.
